YOU CAN now send money with just a phone number
Yep, that’s right, all you need is the receiver’s phone number. Want to send money to your mum back home? Just pick them from your phone book contacts, enter the amount you want to transfer and click ‘send’. They’ll get an SMS with a link to download the Azimo app and claim their money. No queues, no forms, no hassle! And when they’ve registered their bank details once, that’s it – next time the money will go straight into their bank account.
YOU CAN now send money domestically
Our awesome new service isn’t just for making cross-border payments – it works for domestic payments too. Need to split a dinner bill with mates? Pay your sister back for that Mother’s Day present she bought from you both? Lend your son some beer money for his first term at University? You can now do all this and more with a simple SMS via the Azimo app. Think of it as messaging money!
YOU CAN now request money as well as send it
Our new service isn’t just for sending money – you can also request money from your contacts. So whether you paid for your mate’s meal because he’d forgotten his wallet or need some extra money this month from your family on the other side of the world, you can simply message your request via the app and they’ll receive a link to send the money directly to your bank account via the Azimo app. Far easier than an awkward phone call!
YOU CAN now forget about account and IBAN numbers
Since launching in 2012, Azimo has strived to make money transfer as simple, cheap and safe as possible. And now this new service makes it even more straightforward for the sender. Let’s face it, who can remember someone else’s bank account number, let alone their own! Well, now you don’t have to – it’s up to the receiver to input their account details to claim the money.
YOU CAN still send money to 190+ countries
For launch, you can send money from the UK and Eurozone countries, and you can request and receive money in Poland, USA, Canada, UK and Eurozone countries – and we’ll be rolling out the service across the globe during the coming months. And, of course, our existing market-leading platform means you can still transfer money to more than 190 countries with just a few clicks. We’ve got you covered every step of the way, from London to Lagos, Madrid to Manila and Berlin to Brasilia.
