Helping those in need – transfers to Mexico are now fee-free

Starting today until midnight of 1st October, Azimo has decided to waive all fees for transfers to Mexico from anywhere in Europe. This offer allows much-needed funds to get to post-earthquake Mexico.

In the days following the earthquake, Azimo has seen a 15% increase in money transfers to Mexico as people seek ways to get much-needed funds to loved ones and support teams on the ground.

The recent natural disaster devastated the area, killing hundreds of people and leaving millions more without basic resources such as water and electricity.

Michael Kent, Azimo’s CEO and Founder, said:

“Direct remittances to the people of Mexico can be a vital lifeline for those whose lives have been devastated by the earthquakes. We’re keen to do our bit in helping funds get there as quickly as possible, and a small gesture like removing transfer fees  means that more of the much-needed funds will get to where they can help most.”

Now, more than ever, it’s important that every single peso can count for more, and go towards those who need it most.

Transfers can be made via the Azimo app which can be found on the Google Play Store or Apple Store, or via the website Please note that the offer is unable to be applied to SWIFT transfers.
